A New Orleans couple with grown children was looking to downsize and focus on one floor living without sacrificing style or the ability to host friends and family. We fashioned the serene historic Greek revival home into a sea of calm energy, with muted grays, blues, and whites dominating the color scheme. An open kitchen welcomes guests to take a seat at the spacious island while meals are being made, and the dining room table seats up to 12. The bathroom, complete with claw foot tub, wall mounted television, and gorgeous yard views achieves a spa-like atmosphere that any visitor would find hard to leave. Carefully curated pieces, including a roll-top desk, a painted secretary with scenes of Audubon Park, and a grandfather clock add history and color.
